Call for Papers

This year we will determine the theme of each sessions based on the abstracts submitted.

We welcome all types of projects including (but not limited to); case studies, commercial or community projects.


Submission deadline is June 30th

General podiums will be 15mins

Questions will be asked at the end of each session

Abstract Submission 

BABAO Conference Bursary

BABAO offers 10 bursaries to cover the full cost of conference fees for members experiencing difficult financial circumstances. This is open to BABAO student members, unwaged members, or members working in the commercial or museum sector who do not have access to funding to attend. 

 

If you wish to be considered for this bursary, you must apply at the time of abstract submission by ticking the relevant box in the submission form. You must also submit a one-page document explaining why you are of low income (e.g. student, unemployed, contract osteoarchaeologist), why your research is novel and significant, and how presenting at the conference is important to advance your career.

​If you are a student and want to be considered for the BABAO student best podium presentation prize or student best poster prize, please tick the relevant box in the form when submitting your abstract.

 

Please note, you must be a fully paid-up member of BABAO and currently enrolled as a student at the time of submitting your abstract to be eligible for this prize.
